I've been thinking lately, and I think there is only room for one Tulowitzki collector in this apartment and have thus decided to donate my collection to Tulo Trader. This is no sad conclusion seeing as how I love giving people cards, and it affords me the chance to spend my money on my new and currently only player collection.
Andy Sonnanstine.
A couple of weeks ago we were watching the Rays/Marlins game (6/13) and I just really dug the way this guy threw the ball. He has this cool, extremely fluid motion that puts me in a mini trance. It must also put a trance on right handed hitters since his delivery has proven to be a problem for them.
2008 UD Series 1

He was drafted by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays in the 13th round of the 2004 amateur draft out of Kent State and signed June 14, 2004.
2007 Bowman DPP

In 2006 he led the minors with four shutouts and set the Devil Rays organization record with 15 wins.
2007 Topps '52 Refractor #18/552

The following year his record struggled (6-10) BUT managed to fan 10 Marlins (sorry Mario) to pick up his first MLB win on June 10, 2007. He also led all major league rookies (min 100 IP) with a strikeouts-to-walks ratio of 3.73 and a walks-per-9 innings mark of 1.79.
2008 Topps Series 1

This year so far he's 9-3 and with 67 strike outs this Helton beard-rivaling hurler shows no signs of slowing down.

So why am I his favorite new fan? Well, Andy has zero losses, 1 no decision, and 3 wins since my interest in him/collection has started.
If anyone has any of his cards that they would like to trade, let me know! (All 4 of mine are pictured).

Yeah, yeah, boyeee. I'll keep my eyes peeled for Sonnanstines. Thanks again for the Tulos... that was too nice of ya.
I just clicked on the link to your blog from your comment at Wax Heaven tonight and I like what I see. Sonnanstine is a great player to collect and is very underrated. Did you see him dominate the Royals tonight? I'm loving his cool new beard too. I have a few Sonny auto's, including one that's a dual auto with Matt Garza from Co-Signers. But I'm a Rays fan so I don't really wanna give them up. I'll let you know if I come across any base cards of him that you don't already have. Good luck with your new collection!
Thanks for the kind words. I did see and it was awesome! 7 IP and 0 ER. 10-3 now! Well if I get some other Rays autos maybe we can work something out! Love your blog by the way.
